Yono Rummy: Official Terms of Service & User Agreement

1. Introduction and Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Yono Rummy, India’s leading digital platform for skill-based card gaming. This document (the «Agreement») constitutes a legally binding contract between you (the «User») and Yono Rummy (the «Company»). By registering an account, downloading our application, or accessing our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

As of March 2026, the digital gaming landscape in India is governed by complex federal and state regulations. Yono Rummy operates as a «Game of Skill» intermediary under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (as amended in 2023 and 2026). If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease all use of our services.

2. Legal Status: Rummy as a «Game of Skill»

The Supreme Court of India has consistently held that Rummy is a game of skill and not a game of chance. Unlike gambling or betting, success in Rummy depends on a player’s superior knowledge, training, attention, and experience. Consequently, playing Rummy for real money is a protected constitutional right under Article 19(1)(g) of the Indian Constitution in most territories.

2.1 Regional Restrictions

Despite federal protections, certain Indian states have enacted specific legislation to prohibit real-money online gaming. The following table outlines our service availability and the legal resources governing these regions.

In accordance with the Finance Act, 2023, and subsequent amendments in 2025/2026, all online gaming winnings in India are subject to Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) at a flat rate of 30% on «Net Winnings.»

The formula for net winnings is calculated as:

$$Net Winnings = (Total Withdrawals + Closing Balance) — (Total Deposits + Opening Balance)$$
